Lorraine Bell

Lorraine Bell, 91, a longtime resident of Royal City, passed away May 30, 2013 at Columbia Crest Care Center. Holy Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 4 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Royal City, immediately followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Royal Memorial Gardens. Lorraine was born to Joseph and Nellie McGaughey in Brownell, Kansas on July 18, 1921. In 1927, after a few years of drought in Kansas, she and the family moved to Twin Falls, Idaho. They later moved to Richfield, Idaho where Lorraine met the love of her life, Robert Bell. They were married May 21, 1937 and farmed many years before moving to Washington in 1969, finally settling in Royal City. She enjoyed gardening and raised beautiful roses and a variety of vegetables. She shared the bounty with friends and family. Lorraine loved spending time with family and friends.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Janet (Blaine) Brown, Wayne (Lynda) Bell, Donald (Carol) Bell, and Nadine (Daniel) Morrison; 15 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, daughter, Merlene Fults, her parents, seven siblings and two great grandchildren.
