MOSES LAKE - Children's resale store Tyke's 2 Kids has a new location.

Owner Janeene Wagner said she recently moved the store from South Basalm Street to West Third Avenue. Tyke's took over the storefront that previously housed Andrew's Hallmark.

They reopened last week, she said.

Wagner said the store was outgrowing the old 1,400 square-foot building on Basalm Street. Business had been increasing over the past few years, and it was getting crowded at the old store, she said.

"Our customers have been great and we just needed more room for everything," she said.

With 5,000 square-feet, the new store has plenty of space, said Wagner.

Tyke's carries second-hand children's clothing, shoes and accessories. Wagner said the store has items for kids at all ages.

"We have everything parents need to clothe and accessorize their child from newborn to school-age," she said.

Although items are secondhand, they are of high-quality, said Wagner.

"Quality is important to us, and we only accept quality items," she said. "We want parents to know that they can get nice things without having to pay top dollar."

With room to accommodate more inventory, Wagner also said she plans on increasing the store's selection of clothing for school-aged children.

"At that age, clothes begin to get more expensive," she said. "And they outgrow them so fast."

Wagner said Tyke's also accepts quality clothing and other items from parents. They can get cash or store credit for their items, she said.

Wagner said the store will hold grand opening events this weekend.

There will be a 25 cent sale Friday and Saturday, she said.

Clothes in a variety of sizes and styles will be discounted to 25 cents.

Customers can also enjoy cupcakes from Classy and Crazy Cakes on Friday.

Tyke's is located at 102 W. Third Ave. in downtown Moses Lake.

They are open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
