| July 28, 2013 6:00 AM

QUINCY – A Quincy-area farmer, whose truck and trailer were stolen on July 17, found the vehicles himself with the use of his private plane. And he found a trailer previously stolen from his property.

Kevin Weber of Weber Farms alerted Lincoln County Sheriff's deputies to the location of his stolen vehicles in their county not long after posting a $2,500 reward. Lincoln and Grant deputies followed up.?

Weber reported his 1997 Peterbilt dump truck and Beall pup trailer missing Thursday morning after they were taken from his farm overnight. On July 18, Weber offered a $2,500 reward for information on the stolen vehicles and the person responsible for the theft. ?

The morning of the 19th, Weber piloted his private plane in search of the vehicles. He spotted them in a rural area in Lincoln County near Grand Coulee and called Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies. ?

Lincoln county deputies, assisted by Grant County deputies, found the stolen dump truck and pup trailer, and also found a utility trailer stolen from Weber Farms. Deputies suspect the owner of the property where the vehicles were found was attempting to dismantle and obscure the stolen property from view.

Kevin Heeb, 30, of Grand Coulee, was arrested and taken to the Lincoln County Jail in Davenport on charges associated with the theft of the vehicles.
