Quincy shooting suspect arrested
QUINCY - Arnoldo Mendoza, wanted for attempted murder for the shooting of Luis Murillo on July 19, was arrested on July 25 at a home on Mountain View Drive in Quincy. ?
Acting on tips from the public and other information, Sheriff’s deputies, Quincy Police, the U.S. Marshals Service and the Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team raided the home around 5:30 p.m. Mendoza was arrested without incident. ?
According to Grant County Sheriff Tom Jones, Mendoza has been on the run since allegedly shooting Murillo ay around 7:30 a.m. on July 19 in a blueberry orchard west of Quincy. Mendoza fled in a pickup truck which was found abandoned in a nearby orchard.
Officers and Douglas County tracking dogs searched the orchard on the ground, and a U.S Border Patrol helicopter and WSP airplane searched from the air. Mendoza was not found in the orchard. ?
Officers searched several places where Mendoza might have gone.?

Responders found Murillo in the orchard shot multiple times in the belly. He was alive when he was transported from the scene and later flown to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee
