Basin baseball teams regional bound

EPHRATA - Two more Basin baseball teams are headed to regional tournaments.
The Columbia Basin River Dogs are headed to Klamath Falls, Ore. for the Pacific Northwest Babe Ruth regional tournament. River Dogs begin tournament play on July 30.
The Columbia Basin 15-year-old all-stars are also headed to regionals. The CB-15s is headed to Centralia and their first game is July 29 at Fort Borst Park.
Three different Babe Ruth League age groups and the Cal Ripken League 70-foot and 60-foot divisional playoffs will be competing in Centralia.
The city hosted the state's first Babe Ruth League game in 1953 and will be celebrating 60 years of of Babe Ruth baseball this year.
A short-handed Ephrata 13-year-old all-star team missed the championship round posting a 3-2 record at the state tournament.
The River Dogs are riding the momentum of a dominant performance in the North Washington Babe Ruth State Championships.
The team placed first after the five-day tournament wrapped up Saturday at Johnson O'Brien Stadium.
The Columbia Basin 15-year-old all-star also placed first in their respective division ensuring them a spot in the regional tournament.
