PROJECT: The City of Moses Lake is proposing to land apply biosolids from its two treatment plants to existing agricultural fields at seven locations.

Notice is hereby given that a Conditional Use Permit application was received by Grant County on 6/11/13 from The City of Moses Lake (Contact: Shawn O’Brien, PO Box 1579, Moses Lake, WA 98837) and was found to be technically complete on 7/8/13. PROJECT: The City of Moses Lake is proposing to land apply biosolids from its two treatment plants to existing agricultural fields at seven locations. The City may apply up to 500 dry tons per year, which the City estimates would be enough for two fields per year. LOCATION: The project being proposed will take place at seven locations. Each location may consist of multiple parcels. The locations/parcels are: 1) 31-2935-000, 31-2934-000, 21-1263-000; 2) 21-1179-000, 21-1180-000, 21-1394-000, 21-1395-000, 21-1396-000; 3) 21-1181-000; 4) 20-0245-000, 20-0244-000; 5) 21-1175-000; 6) 21-1344-000, 21-1165-000; 7) 21-1351-000, 16-0611-000, 21-1158-000, 21-1350-000, 16-0608-000. ZONING: Agriculture. OPEN RECORD PUBLIC HEARING: Grant County Hearings Examiner, 12:00pm, September 11, 2013, in the Commissioners’ Hearing Room of the Grant County Courthouse in Ephrata, WA. At this time any person(s) may appear and provide testimony. Office Hours: 8 am-12 noon, 1-5 pm, M-F. Comments must be submitted to the Planning Department no later than 5pm on August 6, 2013. Comments should be as specific as possible and may be mailed, hand-delivered, or sent by facsimile. All persons, agencies, or tribes have the right to comment, receive notice, participate in any hearings, request a copy of the final decision, and/or appeal the decision as provided by law and County Code. This may be the only opportunity to comment on the above listed materials.
