Mary Agnes Johnson

Mary Agnes Johnson of Moses Lake, Washington was called home on July 5, 2013

She was born October 27, 1924 in Little Rock Arkansas, the second of four children of the late Jesse and Maude Wendler. She graduated from Mount St. Mary's Academy 1942.

In support of the war effort, Mary went to work for Western Union in Los Angeles, where she met her future husband, the late Maj. Harold E (Johnny) Johnson. They were married April 15, 1944. They continued to travel extensively, especially after Johnny's retirement from the Boeing company as Senior instructor pilot on the 747 program.

She is survived by her sister Libby Laris of San Lorenzo, CA, 4 children; James Johnson Moses Lake, WA, Joy Johnson of Spokane WA, Greg Johnson of Kent WA, and Jeff Johnson of Renton, WA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to your local food bank.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at noon Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 200 N Dale Rd, Moses Lake, WA 98837.
