QUINCY - How about some good blues with local reds and whites?

Muddy Sons is returning to White Heron Winery this Saturday, accompanied by guest chef Kandis Nestor from Ra Wagon, and paired with White Heron Wine's Bordeaux and Syrah wines.

Muddy Sons is a two-man blues band. "Madman Sam" plays guitar and sings while Jeff "Drummerboy" Hayes, a former Moses Lake firefighter, plays the drums punctuated with bursts of spontaneous interpretive dance and various wardrobe malfunctions.

Nestor's menu includes an almond cracker topped with julienne cucumbers, togarashi salmon, plum vinaigrette, and avocado with a Rainier Cherry on top.  Also available is a romaine and cabbage spiced Asian salad topped with raw sunflower seeds, oats, red onions and carrots. Both entrees are $5.

White Heron Winery made their first wine in 1986 and began growing their own vines in 1991. Here you will find wines based on a central European style of wine making, as this is where owner and vinter Cameron Fries received his training. Fries works alongside his wife, vinter Phyllis Fries.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for the show, with the $10 cover going directly to the band.

White Heron Wine is located at 23832 Fine Wine Rd NW outside of Quincy. Learn more at www.whiteheronwine.com or by calling (509) 797-WINE (9463).
