Dispute Resolution Center helps ML residents

| July 12, 2013 6:00 AM

I'd like to share with you and your readers an opportunity to contribute to the health and well being of the Moses Lake community and area. I'm referring to the mediation services offered by an organization I'm affiliated with, the Columbia Basin Dispute Resolution Center.

Our non-profit Dispute Resolution Center, located at 821 E. Sharon Ave, Moses Lake, empowers people to deal constructively with conflict at work, in the neighborhood, in business and family relationships, wherever people find themselves in stressful relationships, unable to resolve their differences. In mediation, persons in conflict with each other are helped to address their issues in a safe, neutral environment as they move forward, hopefully with increased insight and understanding, no longer stuck in a legal or emotional logjam.

Since the Grant County Superior Court now mandates mediation for divorcing persons unable to agree on such things as a parenting plan or the distribution of property, we help the couple find their way through these "minefields" of conflict. In this way mediation helps protect the health and wellbeing of vulnerable children, and their parents, as well.

Because of the increased need for mediation services in Grant County, we urge you to call 509-760-0706 to learn how to become a trained mediator with our Columbia Basin Dispute Resolution Center, a great way to serve and give back to the community.
