Hilda Salazar
Hilda Salazar, 84, a Moses Lake resident went home to the Lord Sunday, July 7, 2013 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Assembly at Moses Lake Church 431 E. Brown. Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. until services start on Thursday, July 11 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Guarding Angels Cemetery. Hilda was born November 15, 1928 in Veracruz, Mexico to Natalio and Angelica Barcenas. She married Rodolfo Salazar in March of 1946 in Weslaco, Texas and shared 67 beautiful years of marriage. They moved to Othello, Washington in 1962. They lived in Warden, Washington for about 20 years before moving to Moses Lake in 1991.
Hilda brought 13 children into this world and dedicated her life to lovingly caring for them. She will be remembered for her strong dedication to her husband, children and grandchildren whom she loved. Hilda had a strong will for life and she overcame her battle with cancer by her love for life and her love and faith in the Lord. Hilda's many gift included cooking, a beautiful voice which she would use to sing for her children and husband, she was a hard working woman who taught her children respect, strong family values and the meaning of a mother's love. She enjoyed her life to the fullest and loved her telenovelas. Hilda will be greatly missed. Her loved ones will always carry her memories in their hearts.
Hilda is survived by sons, Raul (Santos), Ruben (Ginny), Ramiro, Rudy (Terry), Rigo, Rafael (Yoli), Rene (Shari); daughters, Rosalinda (David) Cantu, Hilda and (Lali) Salazar; sister, Sara Barrera; brothers, Ignacio Barcenas, Ticho Barcenas; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rodolfo; parents; 3 infant children; grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and 1 daughter-in-law, Irma Salazar.
We love you so much, Mama. You will be forever missed and in our hearts. We will miss your hugs and smile. We know you are with Jesus now, because you made Him your Lord and Savior.
