Ephrata wildland fire burns 5 acres

EPHRATA - Several sheds were damaged in a wildland fire off of state Route 28 near Ephrata Monday afternoon.
About 12:45 p.m., the Ephrata Fire Department and Grant County Fire District 13 responded to a brush fire in the area of state Route 28 and Road B Northwest, possibly threatening nearby buildings.
According to District 13, crews were able to contain the fire to about 5 acres, but several unoccupied sheds were damaged. Fire District 7 also assisted in the incident.
