Patriotic hats created at MAC

| July 9, 2013 6:00 AM

MOSES LAKE - Families were able to show off their patriotism Saturday at the Moses Lake Museum and Art Center.

The venue was hosting Free Family Saturday, a monthly event where parents can take their children to make different crafts.

In honor of July 4, this month's craft was patriotic hats.

The events are usually packed with lines out of the door, but event organizers believed the holiday weekend had an effect on the attendance.

There were still a few families that trickled into Classroom 126 to make their hats.

Everyone is welcome until supplies are gone.

Next month's event will be held Aug. 3 from noon until 2 p.m. or until supplies run out. Children will be able to use recycled water bottles and printed paper to create their own personalized piggy banks.

The Moses Lake Museum and Art Center is located at 401 S. Balsam St. and Free Family Saturday is located in the MAC Classroom.
