Othello woman cited in crash
ROYAL CITY - An Othello woman is facing vehicular assault charges after reportedly driving over the center line and colliding with another vehicle on state Route 26 near Royal City Friday.
Gisela Marcelo-Sedano, 23, was also cited for DUI by the State Patrol Friday night. Marcelo-Sedano was heading east in a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero on state Route 26 about 13 miles east of Royal City about 10:45 p.m. when she reportedly crossed the center line. The car she was driving collided with the front of a 2001 Nissan Xterra heading west, according to the state patrol.
Marcelo-Sedano was injured and airlifted by MedStar to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake for undisclosed injuries. The driver of the Nissan, DeAnna L. Hubbard, 46, of Royal City, was also injured and transported by ambulance to Samaritan. A 17-year-old boy in Hubbard's vehicle was injured but did not require treatment at the hospital, according to the state patrol.
All three involved were reportedly wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Marcelo-Sedano was charged with DUI, vehicular assault and driving over the center line.
Hubbard was also cited for third-degree driving while driver's license suspended.
