Visitors asked to vote at SummerFest art show

ROYAL CITY - The entries - about 40 - are all in for the Royal City Summerfest's Royal Renaissance Art Show, but show chairman Nancy Grant reminds all visitors to Summerfest that they can still participate. Everyone can vote in the Peoples Choice Award, and the more votes the better, Grant said.
Entries will be displayed July 12-13 in the New Life Fellowship Church building next to Lions Park. Festival goers are invited to go there, view all of the pieces and make a selection.
"There is some very good art," Grant said.
The People's Choice Award will be determined on the days of display only. All other prizes will be awarded by a panel of judges, with judging before the show.
Cash prizes will be awarded for first place, and a first, second, and third place ribbon will be given in each age division.
