Missing Seattle man found safe
GEORGE - Grant County Sheriff's deputies were able to track down a missing Seattle man Monday south of the Gorge Amphitheater.
Andreano Farinas, 20, was found Monday afternoon wandering about eight miles from the Gorge near a Crescent Bar boat dock, according to a prepared statement from the sheriff's office. He was reported missing Sunday from the Paradiso Festival.
Farinas told deputies he had taken two doses of the drug "molly" sometime Saturday night while at the festival, according to Undersheriff Dave Ponozzo.
Farinas, a University of Washington student, was reportedly still disoriented when deputies found him but Ponozzo said he appeared to be in good health and was reunited with his family.
Ponozzo said Farinas had been walking for a few hours "until he found civilization."
"He apparently climbed up under a rock shelf last night and slept until it got daylight this morning and then he started walking until he found people," Ponozzo said.
Ponozzo said Farinas did not remember what happened since he went missing.
Farinas said it was the first time he took "molly," an intense form of ecstasy, which Ponozzo said can cause hallucinations in some people.
