LeRoy A. Engh

LeRoy A. Engh, 87, a resident of Ford, Washington and former longtime Moses Lake resident passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at home. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, February 4, 2013 at Kayser's Chapel. A potluck reception will follow the Memorial service at the Moose Lodge, 417 W. Broadway, Moses Lake. He was born on February 8, 1925 in Crosby, North Dakota son of the late Casper and Julia (Olson) Engh where he spent his early years. He moved with his family to Yelm, Washington where he finished his education. A few years later he married Twila Svihovec on December 6, 1944 and they lived most of their married life in Moses Lake. In 1964 they moved to Spokane and after Twila passed away in 1969 he moved back to Moses Lake. LeRoy was married to Elenor before marrying Eva (Rolison) Shelton on February 8, 1972 in Moses Lake and she preceded him in death in 1995. LeRoy moved back to Spokane to be near his children and then a few years later to Ford, Washington where he has resided with his son, Ronald, the last 6 1/2 years. He worked as a janitor for the Moses Lake School District at Peninsula Elementary School for many years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and baseball.

Survivors include 6 children, Linda Neher, Spokane, Gary Engh, Spokane, Dennis Engh, Otis Orchards, Donald Engh, Moses Lake, Diane Eickerman, Kettle Falls, and Ronald Engh, Ford, WA; one brother, Harvey Engh, Sumner, WA; four step-children, Mike Shelton, Deon Cooper, Diane Airs, and Hap Shelton; 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
