| January 26, 2013 5:00 AM

EASTON – A Wapato woman was injured when the vehicle she was driving rear-ended a long haul truck driven by a Moses Lake man near here on Jan. 14.

The accident occurred around 6 p.m at mile post 70 on Interstate 90.

Neither alcohol nor drugs were involved, the Washington State Patrol said.

Paul Ustin, 36, of Moses Lake, was driving a 2000 Freightliner tractor pulling a box trailer. He was not injured by the collision. The truck was not damaged and was driven away from the scene.

Marisol R. Martinez, 41, of Wapato was driving the 1999 Toyota Avalon that struck the truck from behind. She was wearing a seat belt but was injured. She was transported to Kittitas Valley Community Hospital in Ellensburg by ambulance.

The Toyota, with reportable damage, was removed by a third party. The cause of the accident was inattention and following too closely, the WSP reported.
