Lucila was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a Prominent Roman Catholic that prayed the Rosary daily and worshipped the Lord. She was born in Del Rio, Texas and later moved to Crystal City, Texas where she met and married Pedro Zamora. They were blessed with 10 children.

In 1956, the family settled in Moses Lake, Washington and made it their home. Our mother loved all social gatherings, especially going to the "Zamora's Park" to watch her children, grandchildren and friends dance and celebrate many family occasions. Her zest for life was evident by everyone every day and her humorous personality was always present. Her love for her family as a devoted mother will be cherished and never forgotten. She loved to sew baby blankets and attend the Farmer's Market to help her eldest daughter, Elida, sell her baby crochet items. The time she spent gardening was special to her and she loved caring for the stray cats near her home. Our mother had a gift for making each one of us feel as if we are unique and special. Lucila was a sweet, beautiful person inside and out and always greeted everyone with an infectious and magnetic, warm smile. We will miss her tremendously because to us, she was the perfect mother and we will cherish the precious moments each of us had and treasure the time God gave her to be with us here on Earth. We know the Lord awaits to welcome her into his loving arms along with her other family members in heaven who will be looking her joyful smile to arrive with her beautiful soul.

Lucila is survived by her children, Jose (Anita) Zamora, Mary (Jose) Martinez, Carlos (Sylvia) Zamora, Lucy (Max) Anderson, Beatriz (Bill) Herrera, Salina (Art) Castro, and Duane (Gina) Zamora; daughter-in-law Olga Zamora; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Pedro Zamora; daughter Elida (Frank) DeLaRosa; and sons Pedro Jr. and Mario Zamora.
