Lounell Cheney Williamson

Lounell Cheney Williamson, 71, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 in her home in Warden due to complications from diabetes. She was born November 13, 1941 in Pontotoc, Mississippi to Henry Franklin and Lucy Virginia (Palmore) Cheney.

Lounell worked as a drug and alcohol counselor for many years, which she enjoyed immensely. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, reading, bowling and fishing, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry F. and Virgie Cheney, one brother Henry Isaac Cheney and two sisters Ellen Cheney Tovar and Lois Cheney Taylor.

She is survived by nine siblings, sisters Needa Morgan and Evelyn Bigham of Crescent City, CA, brothers Dexter Cheney of Medford, OR, David Cheney and Tim Cheney of Oregon City, OR, sisters Marilyn Thomas of Salem, OR, Hope Dunn, of Gresham, OR, Deborah Myers of Weitchpec, CA and Sheila Blocker of Portland, OR; her children Donald and Erick Williamson, Sandra Golob all of Moses Lake, WA and daughter-in-law Laurinda Ritz of Lind, WA; eight grandsons, one granddaughter and 2 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and very special friends Dario and Gloria Pruneda and family.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2013 in the Warden Assembly of God Church, 416 Oak St., S, Warden, WA. Burial and concluding services will immediately follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Warden.
