Ice is melting all over the Potholes Recreation Area. Bank fishing with Power Bait, Pautsker's Eggs, and night crawlers with marsh-mellows are the three main baits. Canal Lake, Heart Lake, Corral Lake, Medicare Beach and behind the MarDon Resort Office are all producing nice Rainbow Trout.

We are sad to say goodbye to a dear friend. Rod Brownlee lost his fight with cancer early Sunday Morning (February 17, 2013). Rod operated Rod Brownlee's Marine Service for the last 20 years out of his shop in the Potholes Reservoir Area.
He passed peacefully while holding his sister's hand in Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, Washington. Rod was a great friend and he will be deeply.
