Cecilia Foryan

Cecilia Foryan, 94, a resident of Moses Lake since 1961 passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 at home. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 21 at Kayser's Chapel. Holy Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 22 immediately followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Cecilia was born on February 27, 1918 in Fairfield, Washington, daughter of the late Claus and Marie Anna (Stockinger) Lasz. She was raised and educated in Fairfield graduating in 1936. She married John Foryan and they farmed in the Indian Prairie area of Spokane before moving to Moses Lake in 1961 to farm in Block 40. Cecilia continued to live on the farm until 1988 when she moved to Road O. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Her religion was her comfort. Cecilia enjoyed music and television, especially reruns of the "I Love Lucy Show".

Survivors include her children, Paul Foryan, Barbara (Emil) Roman, John Foryan, Pauline Mindus, Steve (Natalia) Foryan, Joe Foryan and George (Lora) Foryan; 20 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters a brother and a grandson, James Roman.
