Dorothy E. (Dewey) Grigg
Dorothy E. (Dewey) Grigg, 82, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away in the company and care of immediate family and friends on January 19, in Portland, Oregon.
Dorothy was born October 22, 1930 in McCook, Nebraska and later married Earl Grigg in Fort Wayne, Indiana on July 10, 1954. She and her family have lived in numerous states and towns through the years, but only a few of those places she called home, such as Lincoln, Nebraska, Libby, Montana, Vandalia, Missouri and Tenino, Washington, before finally settling in Moses Lake, WA in 1983. It was there she became involved with the Eagles Lodge 2622 and Moses Lake's Relay For Life.
Her kindness towards others and love for her family will be most remembered along with her warm homemade bread and knack for cooking. She always had a zest for knowledge and enjoyed activities that kept her mind sharp such as word and trivia games/crossword puzzles, and staying active by quilting, sewing, assisting in Relay For Life fundraisers and traveling to Montana.
She is survived by her 5 children and their spouses: Vicki and Paul Buti (Libby, MT), Terry and Don Moore (Moses Lake, WA), Shelly May (Portland, OR), Kevin and Sherry Grigg (Liscomb, Iowa), and Justin Grigg (Boise, ID). 16 Grandchildren: Mindy and Eric Skoien, Trisha and Andy Iliff, Becky and Blaine Anderson, Alicia May and Jordan Solem, Jason May, Krystin Moore and Justin Nordlund, Anthony Moore, Kyle Grigg, Zach Grigg, Katherine Grigg and Brice Grigg. 5 Great Grandchildren: Hunter and Seth Skoien, Jared, Colby and Kinley Iliff and Special Friends: Gary, Paula & Oscar Chapman, (Arkansas) and Arlene Quenzer (Moses Lake). She was preceded in death by parents Charles & Bessie Dewey, husband of 40 years, Earl Grigg, daughter, Sherry Leann, grandson, JD Grigg and 5 sisters and brother.
