Description of current proposal:

SR 243 – Mattawa Intersection Improvements

This project proposes to construct a roundabout near Mattawa on SR 243 and Road 24. Other work includes illumination, concrete aprons, utility relocation, striping, and signing.

Proponent:

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).

Location of proposal:

This project is located on SR 26 from milepost 34.53 to 35.78, in Sections 2 and 3, T. 15 N., R. 28 E. WM, in Adams County.

Lead Agency:

Washington State Department of Transportation, North Central Region.

The lead agency for this proposal has determined that the proposal does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c). This decision was made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead agency. This information is available to the public on request.

This DNS is issued under 197-11-340(2); the lead agency will not act on this proposal for 14 days from the date below. Comments must be submitted by February 28, 2013.
