Royal girls finish with two losses
ROYAL CITY - The long, tough basketball season for the Royal High girls came to an end last week with losses to Warden, 63-22, and Kiona-Benton, 64-26.
No matter how tough the season was, coach Phil Daubel is looking forward to next year. His girls will have another year of experience.
"I believe in these girls and know that we will work hard in the off-season and be better by winter next year," he said.
The Warden game featured good efforts by Flor Araujo and Brittany Hebdon with nine points each. Dory Floren had nine rebounds, and Araujo and Hebdon got four each.
In the Ki-Be game, Royal got 11 points from Kayla Smith. Araujo had six rebounds, and Floren and Jacky Guadarrama grabbed four each.
