CBDL elects 2014 leadership

MOSES LAKE - The Columbia Basin Development League elected its 2014 leadership during a recent meeting in Moses Lake.

Milton Johnston, of Ellensburg, and Orman Johnson, of Othello, were re-elected chair and vice-chair of the CBDL, respectively. Jake Wollman, Jr., of Warden was elected treasurer and Jeff Schibel, of Odessa, was elected secretary.

Ron Fode, of Moses Lake, continues on the board as past chair, according to a recent CBDL release.

Serving on the executive committee are Alice Parker, of Royal City; Dale Pomeroy, of Warden; Heath Gimmestad, of Moses Lake and Kevin Kyle, of Cunningham.

All positions will hold throughout the year until elections are held again next December.

CBDL trustees also appointed Chet Pedersen to an open position on the board during the meeting. Pedersen, an agronomy consultant from Quincy, joins two other new board members Matt Hawley, of Lamb Weston/ConAgra Foods, and Mark Stedman, Lincoln County commissioner.

Pedersen, who grew up near Ellensburg, currently owns Columbia Ag Consulting. He is also one of the founders of Quincy's Farmer Consumer Awareness Day celebration, according to CBDL.

Other board members re-elected include Steve Connors, of Warden; Clark Kagele, of Odessa; Rick Miller, of Pasco; Reid Phillips, of Ritzville and Eli Stahl, of Ritzville.
