ML woman hit by vehicle in Ephrata

EPHRATA - A Moses Lake woman walking in downtown Ephrata was seriously injured Wednesday night after she was hit by a vehicle.

About 5:30 p.m., Colleen M. McPherson, 62, was crossing Basin Street near First Avenue Northwest when Kathie G. Lemargie, 65, of Ephrata, attempted to turn onto Basin from First Avenue in a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee. LeMargie's vehicle reportedly struck McPherson in the crosswalk, according to the State Patrol.

McPherson was airlifted to Confluence Heath in Wenatchee.

Lemargie was uninjured in the collision, according to the State Patrol.

Officers determined driver inattention was the cause of the collision.
