Rodolfo "Rudy" G. Perez

Rodolfo "Rudy" G. Perez, 85, a longtime Moses Lake resident passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Columbia Crest Care Center surrounded by loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 pm, Monday, December 23, 2013 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 200 N. Dale Road with Father Mauricio Muñoz, celebrant.

Rudy was born in Edinburg, Texas on April 11, 1928, son of the late Federico "Fred" and Herminia (Garcia) Perez. He was married to Zenaida Arevalo and spent most of their marriage in Washington State (including Sunnyside and since 1972, Moses Lake). Before moving to Washington, Rudy worked at his father's grocery store and ranch. After moving to Washington, he became and butcher and worked at a meat packing plant in Lind.

Rudy was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. He enjoyed working in his yard, barbeques and loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Zenaida Perez; children, Pearla Perez, George (Anez) Perez, Sylvia (Lupe) Cadengo, Linda (John) Turcotte, Jimmy Perez and Kassandra (Steve) Martinez; 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Rudy was preceded in death by a son, Rudy Perez, Jr., siblings, Florentino Perez, Fred Perez, Ofelia P. Chapa, Trenidad Perez, Jimmy Perez and Olivia P. Lopez.
