MOSES LAKE — Detectives arrested a Moses Lake man and are looking for two others in connection to the man found shot last week at Hiawatha Road and Road 5 Northeast.

Jordan S. Wiester, 21, was booked into Grant County Jail Wednesday on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder with premeditation and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The arrests comes during the investigation of the shooting of Dale G. Olmos, 28, who was found in a field near Road 5 Northeast Dec. 11 with a gunshot wound to the head. Detectives believe Olmos was shot because others thought he had stolen a cellphone from another person, according to the sheriff's office.

Detectives have also named Jose Rivera, 16, as a suspect in the incident. Police have probable cause to arrest Rivera for attempted first-degree murder. Rivera, whose street name is "Kriminal," is a Hispanic male with light complexion, standing 5'8' and weighing about 200 pounds. He has black hair and blue eyes.

Although it is not routine practice for the sheriff's office to release the name of juvenile suspects, they believe Rivera poses a threat to public safety.

Detectives are also looking for Gilbert Williamson, 46, as a person of interest. Williamson is a white male, 6' tall and about 220 pounds, with hazel eyes and short brown hair.

Anyone with information on Rivera or Williamson should not attempt to detain them, but contact the sheriff's office at 509-762-1160 or send information to crimetips@co.grant.wa.us. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
