MOSES LAKE - Moses Lake girls bowling made it three wins in a row Thursday after defeating Davis, 3-1.

The Chiefs sit in second place in the Columbia Basin Big 9 with a record of 2-1 and 5-1 overall.

The team continued its momentum from Tuesday's match against Eisenhower where the team bowled a high score of 933 and opened up with a 859-559 blowout in the first game against Davis.

"Great game for the girls," head coach Billy Brice said.

The team bowled solid from top to bottom with Ashleigh Hash, Kim Mulder, Kayla Enriguez and Kayla Steffler all scoring over 170 pins. Steffler led the team with 189 pins and Mulder added 184.

The Chiefs had a slight drop off in game two only winning 794-677.

Brice pointed to some of the bowlers missing key spares.

"I think they lose a little focus and a little ball speed," he said.

Enriguez led the Chiefs in game two with a score of 189. Moses Lake wrapped up the match with a 179-103 win in the first Baker game. Davis salvaged a point in the second Baker game 161-155.

"All in all though I liked the progress," Brice said.

The Chiefs compete at home at Lake Bowl twice next week against tough opponents West Valley (Yakima) and Wenatchee. Moses Lake will look to get revenge on a Panthers team that handed the Chiefs their only loss of the year.
