Warrior girls drop two in basketball

| December 14, 2013 5:00 AM

MATTAWA - The Wahluke High School girls basketball team dropped two games to open the season last week, but the first game was a pretty good effort in a 42-36 loss.

After falling behind Kittitas on Thursday, 17-6, after one quarter, the Warriors rallied to trail by only 22-19 at the half. Maripaz Olivarez had 12 points, seven rebounds and seven steals. Liliana Ramirez had six assists.

There were not many highlights to speak of Saturday at Goldendale. The bigger, faster, stronger, and more skilled Timberwolves won, 50-20.
