The De-Icers are going in to keep our marina ice free for fishing today. So come out, dress warm and try and catch a fish off the dock.

Don't forget we have free dock fishing every Friday until Spring-time. You still have to come into the store and get your free dock pass and car pass and you can fish until dark every Friday evening. The dock is still showing some nice Crappie, Perch, Bluegill, Trout and Bass and a few walleye are being reported.

We are experiencing bitter cold this week and over the weekend with wind chill's below zero. Temperatures like that give make it imperative for ducks and geese to drink and feed on a schedule. There are many geese in the area and we are also hearing reports of ducks being seen feeding in large numbers on the Royal Slope and Moses Lake Area in fields. But with temperatures this cold many of your favorite duck hunting spots are freezing, if not already, frozen solid. Potholes Reservoir is still open, and all of the boat launches on the South End of the lake are open as of Thursday, December 05, 2013. The sand dunes are freezing but there are still some open places for blinds on the face of the dunes but the hunt-able areas are getting smaller and smaller each night. For a current report please call our tackle/reservation shop at (509) 346-2651.
