Barbara Ann Simpson-Kerr

| December 7, 2013 5:00 AM

Barbara Ann Simpson-Kerr was called up to heaven on December 4, 2013. Barb was surrounded by her loving family and friends and was in peace when she left us. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7 at Living Word Lutheran Church, 2609 West Broadway Avenue, Moses Lake, Washington.

Barb was born on May 18, 1962 and was raised and educated in Moses Lake. The daughter of Joe and Ila (Sanborn) Simpson. She lived in Spokane for several years and spent the last 6 years living and working in Renton, Washington. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching crime shows on television, but above all she was a loving grandmother, mother, sister and daughter. She loved spending time with family and friends. If an update on extended family members or friends was needed, Barb was the person we turned to. Her unbelievable strength, quick humor and unique laugh made Barb a joy to be around.

Barb is survived by her parents, Joe and Ila Simpson; two daughters, Raven Kerr, Spokane Valley and Malea Kerr, Renton; one granddaughter, Bentleigh Alvarez, Spokane Valley; one sister, Patti Fuentes, Seattle; three brothers and their wives, Tim (Denise) Simpson, Bremerton, Sean (Debbie) Simpson, Moses Lake and Tye (Annette) Simpson, Seattle; six nieces and one nephew.

She was loved so much and left us much too soon. She will be so dearly missed by those who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Research Institute - http://cancerresearch.org/how-you-can-donate-now
