Skaug, Tracy best choices for MLIRD

| December 6, 2013 5:00 AM

It is time for some changes in the Moses Lake Irrigation District!

We need "new blood" in the directors positions. I am told we have one director, namely Ron Covey, who rolls his eyes and shrugs his shoulders, when a suggestion is made that he doesn't like especially if it comes from Mick Hansen. This is extremely childish. What we need on this board is adults who will do what is best for the district no matter what director brings it up.

It is also my opinion that we need to eliminate Bill Bailey because of a conflict of interest. Mr. Bailey owns the building that the irrigation district rents from. If he would be elected, you can be sure that he would not take any position against the clique.

We have Mick Hansen as a director and I feel he is extremely knowledgeable about Irrigation District affairs and is most fair.

To join him as directors, my choices would be David Skaug and he would replace Ron Covey. I also feel Larry Tracy would be a good choice. He is an attorney and a long time resident.

It is time to get rid of the clique on the Moses Lake Irrigation District Board.

There, I have given my opinion and I am sticking to it.
