Donald "Don" Ray Alburtis, Jr.

Donald "Don" Ray Alburtis, Jr., 61, passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 following a long illness. Don was born in Youngstown Ohio on Nov. 14, 1952 to Donald R. Alburtis Sr. and Kathleen Mary Hedrick.

Don went to For Hill High in Cumberland, MD and Shenandoah Boys School in West Virginia. He went into the Marine Corps in 1972 as an Accident Investigator with the Military Police. He retired in 1992 as a Staff Sergeant.

Don loved being at home with his family. He also enjoyed reading, listening to music and his Budweiser. He especially loved being around his grandchildren, André and Serina.

Don was preceded in death by Donald R. Alburtis Sr., Kathleen M. Alburtis , and Anthony Alburtis.

Don is survived by his wife, Mary Jean Alburtis; daughter, Lena Ann Moore; son in law, Clayton Johnson, André DeVon Moore; granddaughter, Serina-May Alisha Moore; sisters, Debbie and Larry Mauk WV, Kathy and Andy Harris, Maryland and Sue Carol and Andrew Holasek of GA; sisters-in-law, Nancy Rakoz, WA and Dotty and Leroy Stotts, WA; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Guarding Angels Cemetery, 2595 Road L N.E., Moses Lake.
