| December 2, 2013 5:00 AM

MOSES LAKE - A Moses Lake man and an Othello man were hurt on Nov. 12 in a two-vehicle collision at Moses Lake.

The 8:40 a.m. pickup-truck accident occurred at mile post 50 of Highway 17 in Moses Lake. Neither alcohol nor drugs were involved, the Washington State Patrol said, and both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

According to the WSP, the accident occurred when Brian F. Martin, 47, of Moses Lake failed to stop his Chevrolet S10 pickup at a red light. The pickup struck a 2014 International truck, driven by Dale E. Schoessler, 61, of Othello in the intersection.

The pickup was towed away. The truck was driven from the scene. Both men were transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake for treatment of injuries.

Before the crash, Martin was northbound on 17 approaching Pioneer. Schoessler was westbound on Pioneer and stopped at a red light. Schoessler proceeded through the intersection when the light changed, and Martin did not stop, the State patrol said.
