List of pot license applicants released by liquor control board

GRANT COUNTY - The Liquor Control Board released an initial list of a 929 applications to produce, process or sell marijuana, including 19 applications in Grant County.

A total of 19 applications have been received in Grant County since the Liquor Control Board began accepting applications Nov. 18.

While much of the concern from cities and residents was focused on possible marijuana retail locations, just four applications have been received so far by the state, all in Moses Lake.

The Liquor Control Board is allowing just two retail locations in Moses Lake, meaning a lottery will likely be held to determine the two licenses granted. Grant County has been allocated seven retail locations, one in each Ephrata and Quincy, three at-large locations as well as the two in Moses Lake.

The state has received nine license applications for growing marijuana, with five in Quincy, three in Ephrata and one in Warden, although three were submitted by the same business/individual.

Six processor licenses, two in Quincy and Ephrata and one in Warden, have been received by the state.

There is no limit on the number of growing and processor licenses issued by the Liquor Control Board.

As of Wednesday, the state has received 444 applications for growing, 327 for processing and 158 for retailing. The Liquor Control Board has limited the number of retail locations to 334.

The board will update the list of applicants each week during the 30-day licensing window, ending Dec. 18.
