Light fixture sparks fire at Moses Lake home

| December 2, 2013 5:05 AM

MOSES LAKE - A fire Tuesday night at a Moses Lake home likely started at a light fixture in the kitchen.

Moses Lake firefighters responded about 6 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a structure fire in the 1300 block of Buell Drive, near Grape Drive.

Residents inside the home were able to make it out safely and no injuries were reported, according to Fire Chief Tom Taylor.

Firefighters were on scene for more than two hours working to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters cut out a section of the roof to reach the attic. They made sure the fire was out and no insulation was still burning, Taylor said.
