Lopez, Carleton take honors

ROYAL CITY - Oscar Lopez and John Carleton shot a 67 to take first place gross in the Dog Days of Summer 2-man scramble at Royal Golf Course on Aug. 17.

The top net honor went to Mario Salazar and Eliud Villarreal with a 62.3. Second at 62.4 was the team of Chad Smith and Trevor Iversen.

Roland Hansen and Josh Madsen teamed for a 63.2 to take third place. In fourth place with a score of 63.4 was the team of Rylie Christensen and Mark Albertson.

There was a three-way tie for fifth place at 63.6. The teams were Ben Lopez and Henry Wood, Levi Johnston and Jaime Baillet and Curt Hartman and Bill Garnett.

In specialty contests, Wayne Schutte sank a shot of 5-10 for the longest putt on hole No. 9. Closest to the pin on No. 11 was Darren Smith at 20-1.25.
