Reader wants to thank Commisioners and community

Dear Commissioners:

I would like to thank you on behalf of the Moses Lake Lions Club for contributing to a terrific Grant County Fair this year. First, I would like to thank you for the continued use of our building, the Moses Lake Lion's Dessert Bar. We have occupied this building for several years and we are very grateful for its use.

Tuesday as a free admittance day was again, as was two years ago, one of the most profitable days that our food booth has had for approximately 12 years. My hope is that many more of the non-profit vendors will report similarly. Hopefully, this can be repeated in future years. Sales for Wednesday and ! Thursday remained fairly consistent as in past years, however, Friday's and Saturday's sales exceeded prior years' sales. Many of us believe it was due to the excellent choice of entertainment on both nights - Joe Nichols and Pam Tillis. All proceeds from our sales are used to provide eye exams, hearing exams, eyeglasses and hearing aids as well as other personal needs from members of our community, so we again say Thank You for your efforts and encouragement.

I would also like to thank the Fairgrounds Office and maintenance staff and Manager for their professionalism, forward-thinking vision and prompt assistance and continued hard work. Their cooperation and team work were beyond compare.

Again, a very heartfelt Thank You for a terrific Grant County Fair 2013.
