The proposed project location is 1525 E. Wheeler Road, Lot 2 Staat's First Short Plat. The proposal is to remodel existing offices into a second district courtroom with support spaces, increased offices for clerks, and increased security of building entrances.

Notice of Application and Public Hearing

The Grant County Commissioners submitted an application for a Conditional Use Permit on June 24, 2013. Additional information was submitted on July 23 and August 8. The application was determined to be substantially complete and ready for review on August 20, 2013. The proposed project location is 1525 E. Wheeler Road, Lot 2 Staat's First Short Plat. The proposal is to remodel existing offices into a second district courtroom with support spaces, increased offices for clerks, and increased security of building entrances. The project has been determined to be consistent with the City’s Comprehensive Plan and the following development regulations are applicable to the project: City of Moses Lake Municipal Code Title 14 Environmental Regulations, Title 16 Buildings and Construction, Title 18 Zoning, and Title 20 Development Review Process.

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for this project at 7:00 pm, October 10th in the Civic Center, Council Chambers located at 401 S. Balsam. All interested parties are encouraged to attend and make comment.

Comments on this proposal from public agencies with jurisdiction and comments on the environmental impacts of this proposal will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on September 17, 2013 Comments on other aspects of this proposal from the general public will be accepted up to the date of the public hearing. Public comment may be provided up to the date of the

public hearing. In addition, persons who want to be informed of future actions or the

final decision on this proposal should provide their name and address to the project planner listed below. The final decision on this proposal will be made within 120 days of the date of the notice of completeness and may be appealed according to the City appeal provisions specified in Moses Lake Municipal Code 20.11, Appeals.
