Howard Holland

Howard Holland passed away on August 25, 2013 at Lakeridge Care Center with his wife Doris at his side. Please sign the online guestbook at www.kayserschapel.com Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory.

Howard was born on June 29, 1924 in Clearwater, California. His parents were Velma and Ira Holland. At the age of nine his family moved to Washington where he lived the rest of his life.

Howard served in the Navy during World War II. He was stationed in New Guinea at the base hospital. He worked as a mechanic keeping the generators and equipment working. He was discharged in 1945, returned home and married. He and his wife had two children. He was a contractor, boat builder, and for many years he was a fishing guide on the Skagit River.

In 1976 he moved to Moses Lake from Kirkland. He met Doris Carlile and they married in 1980. They worked, traveled and eventually spent winters in Arizona after retirement.

He is survived by his wife Doris, his son David of Lake Havasu, AZ; his daughter Nancy of Mt. Vernon, WA; and grandson David Jr.

He is also survived by Doris' children, Ann Conley of Aloha, OR; Keith and Mike Carlile of Moses Lake. Doris' four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

He leaves a behind a brother, Frank Blehm of Woodland, WA and nieces and nephews.

Howard requested we have no services. There will be a family memorial at a later date.

Rest in peace Howard. Go catch those big trout with your buddies in Heaven.
