Welcome to a new year at Royal High

Royal High School will be starting the 2013-2014 school year today, Wednesday, Aug. 28. There will be a few new faces in the halls of Royal High School this upcoming year.

Randy Miller is a new addition to the Science Department. Randy will also be the wrestling coach. A Royal staff member in the late 1990s, he joins us from Riverside School District in Chattaroy.

We will be adding two new members to the Career and Technical Education Department. Richard Kannely comes to us from Mount Vernon High School, and Paula Perryman will be joining us from Kentlake High School. Kim Lamb will be joining us from Moses Lake and will be working in the Special Education Department. Amanda Eilers will be moving to Royal High School from Royal Middle School, and she will be teaching in the English Department.

Janet Jack will be joining the front office team in her new role as Royal High School's secretary.

Royal High School would like to welcome you to meet all staff members at the Royal High School open house on Sept. 5 from 7-9 p.m.

The start of school also begins the start of another exciting football season for the Royal Knights. The Knights will kick off the football season against the Cascade Kodiaks at home on Sept. 6 at 7 p.m.

As part of the kickoff celebration, the Royal Athletic Booster Club will be hosting the Mongolian Barbeque.
