Sonico attracts international customers

MOSES LAKE - Sonico is experiencing an increase in business as a result of a recent international visit.

Sonico officials visited customers in Asia, Australia and New Zealand in June, according to a statement from the aircraft maintenance company. They were successful in adding Air New Zealand to its base of international airline customers, which already includes Qantas, Malaysia and Icelandair, according to the release.

Sonico currently provides maintenance, repair and overhaul services for domestic and international customers. However the company is hoping to increase its global presence in markets like Latin American, Africa, Russia and the Asia-Pacific region by attending various MRO conventions.

Sonico officials plan on attending next month's MRO Europe convention in London, according to the release.

Company President Bill Perdue said Sonico is already seeing results from these global meetings.

"This program to expand the off-shore markets is already boosting sales at Sonico," he said.
