MOSES LAKE - Day Wireless Systems is gearing up for a big move.

The company has plans to relocate from its current space on West Broadway Avenue to a brand new building on East Broadway Avenue later this year, Assistant Service Manager Sarah Schoenwald said.

They broke ground on the new building earlier this summer, and hope to be all moved in by October or November, she said.

The building sits on an approximately 14,000 square-foot parcel of land, according to information from the City of Moses Lake. It will be sectioned off into three separate office spaces, Schoenwald said.

Day Wireless will occupy one of the offices. The other two will be available for tenants to rent, she said.

Schoenwald said moving to a new building was always in the plan.

"Day Wireless likes to own their buildings and currently we rent," she said. The company has been in their current location since the 1990s, Schoenwald said.

"This building will be new and that's exciting," she said.

Day Wireless sells and installs two-way radio systems, hands-free cellphone kits and boosters for cellphones, among other products, Schoenwald said.

"Our business is broad, we do rentals, point-to-point links, anything wireless besides personal cellphones," she said. They cover Grant and Adams counties, Schoenwald said.

Day Wireless is a regional company, with offices in Washington, Oregon and California. They also operate a phone company in Nevada, she said.

The Moses Lake branch is one of five Eastern Washington branches. Day Wireless is also located in Wenatchee, Yakima, Spokane and Pasco.

The Moses Lake branch currently employs four people, but a fifth person is expected to join the team soon, Schoenwald said.

Until the move, Day Wireless is located at 1312 W. Broadway Ave.
