Lois Helene Larson, of Moses Lake, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Summerwood Alzheimer Special Care Center in Moses Lake. Lois was born March 9, 1931 in Yakima, WA to the late Ralph & Margaret Corbin. They moved to Moses Lake in 1947 where her parents owned and operated the first Bible book store. Lois attended Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills Alberta, Canada. Soon after graduation, she met Howard who was working in Moses Lake and they were married Dec. 29, 1951. Mick joined their family in 1961 and brought much joy to their lives. Lois was a talented musician and loved children and freely shared these gifts in the churches where she and Howard served. They were one of the original founders of the Moses Lake Alliance Church from its inception in 1976 and she served faithfully as the organist and served in the children's department until her health no longer allowed her to do so. She was instrumental in bringing the Child Evangelism Fellowship to Grant County. Lois and Howard worked with CEF for over 60 years and spent many hours teaching at the Story Barn at the Grant County Fair. Many children were introduced to the Lord as their forever friend through the loving teaching of Lois. In later years, she worked as an educational assistant at the Moses Lake School District. Lois was a loving and compassionate person to her family, as well as to all who knew her. She was a mighty prayer warrior for anyone who was in need. She is survived by her husband, Howard, her son Michael Larson, granddaughter, Natasha Carswell, and great grandson Damien Hamilton, and a host of cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship, 800 Orondo Street, Wenatchee, WA 98801. A memorial service will be held at the Moses Lake Alliance Church, 1100 N. Grape Drive on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with refreshments to follow.
