BBCC guard signs letter of intent

MOSES LAKE - Former Big Bend Community College guard Alli Winters is moving on to play college basketball.

The Lady Vikings star signed a letter of intent to play for Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah recently.

The Soap Lake product was the leading scorer pouring in 16.4 points per game for Big Bend while also serving as the team captain. Winters also got her teammates involved averaginng 3.1 assists per game. She made 93 3-pointers and scored at least 20 points in eight games.

Westminster College is a strong program in the NAIA and finished last year with a record of 29-4 while being ranked has high as number seven in the nation. The Griffins secured their fifth straight Frontier Conference Championship and advanced to the quarterfinals of the NAIA national championship last year.
