William D. Christle

| August 13, 2013 6:00 AM

William D. Christle, beloved father and husband, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, August 8th, 2013. He was 78 years of age. Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory.

William (Bill) was born May 23rd, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois. Before moving to Moses Lake, Washington in 1995, he had lived in Chicago, Minnesota, and Oregon, where he owned and operated a variety of businesses. Bill was a skilled carpenter, artisan, and all-around handyman. Some of his businesses included painting, tire supply, kitchen renovation, and he co-owned a radio station with his son.

When he wasn't working, Bill enjoyed traveling, camping, boating, hunting and fishing. Some of his favorite memories were of being out on lakes or in the wilderness with friends.

After his retirement, Bill spent his time in Moses Lake renovating his home, adding on additions to both the house and storage sheds and restoring a pontoon boat nearly from scratch. He and his family raised a variety of farm animals. They grew a number of fruit trees and vegetables, and he worked hard to instill in his children a good work ethic to prepare them for the world of adulthood.

He is survived by his wife Lisa Christle and his seven children, Bryan Christle of Florida, Brandon Christle of Minnesota, Bonnie Christle-Russell of Iowa, Bart Christle of Arizona, Lynn Christle of California, Gerie Christle-Bridges of Washington, and Megan Christle of Washington.

At his request, William will be cremated and his ashes will be spread across Banks Lake. He will be remembered as a man who worked hard, laughed loud, loved the outdoors, and provided for his family in abundance.

Rest in peace, Bill. We love you.
