Man hurt in rollover

MARDON RESORT – An Othello man was injured when the car he was driving rolled in the late afternoon on Aug. 10 near here on Highway 262.

According to the Washington State Patrol, drugs or alcohol were involved, and the driver was not wearing a safety restraint.

The driver, Elias Armendáriz, 25, was taken by ambulance to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake. He was driving a 2008 Ford Fusion 4-door, and it was totaled. It was impounded by Vista Towing.

According to the WSP, Armendáriz was northbound on 262 when he lost control of his vehicle. It struck a rock wall and rolled onto its top.
