MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake Fire Department found no evidence of arson in a commercial building fire Monday.

Fire Chief Tom Taylor said the cause of the fire is undetermined after completing an investigation Tuesday morning at Pacific Northwest Mechanical at 1749 W. Pheasant St.

Firefighters responded about 7:50 p.m. to a fire at the commercial building. The gates to the property were reportedly locked and firefighters were required to force entry into the area. It took about 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze, Taylor said. Taylor said the fire caused significant damage to the building and property inside.

More than a dozen firefighters worked at the scene for about three hours. An engine from Grant County Fire District 5 was also used to assist. Taylor said the investigation was passed onto the business's insurance company, which will continue to determine a cause.

Founded in 2002, Pacific Northwest Mechanical LLC offers services including steel fabrication, machining, welding, piping systems, excavation, craning and drafting, according to the company website.
