Donald Jeffery and Patricia Ann Smith

Donald Jeffery "Jeff" Smith, 57, and Patricia "Patty" Ann Smith, 55, of Ephrata Washington, passed away from the result of a motorcycle accident near Forsyth, Montana on Tuesday, July 30, 2013.

Jeff was born December 27, 1955 in Wenatchee Washington to John and Opal Smith. He graduated from Ephrata High school in 1974.

Jeff was a maintenance mechanic, and was employed at Lamb Weston/Con-Agra foods in Quincy, Wash. for 37 years at the time of his death.

He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing with his boys, working on cars ad his property, and having family and friends over at the house.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, John; mother, Opal; and brother Johnny Smith.

Patty was born August 17, 1957 in Ephrata, Washington to Bill and Carolyn Stephens. She graduated from Ephrata High School in 1975.

Patty was a former longtime employee of Lamb Weston/Con-Agra in Quincy and was employed at the Grant County Assessor's Office in Ephrata at the time of her death.

She especially enjoyed working in her yard, going o walks, and shopping with friends and family. Patty was an avid reader, always enjoyed a good book or magazine.

Patty was preceded in death by her father, Bill Stephens; and sister, Donna Stephens.

On July 10, 1982, Jeff married his soul mate, Patty, in Ephrata. Jeff became the father to three sons, Jamie, Billy, and David. Together they had a daughter, Jennifer.

Jeff and Patty loved their children and their growing families. Family and friends were always welcome to gather at their house for holidays, birthdays, or any other special occasion. They enjoyed the company and thought of all their children's friends as their own. Jeff and Patty enjoyed traveling together and with family and friends; and spending time together at the property in Plain, Washington.

Jeff and Patty are survived by their children; Jaime (Mike) Smith of Auburn, Wash., Billy (Chelsey) Smith of Ephrata, David (Nicole) Smith of Yakima, Wash, Jennifer (Sam) Kaleohano of Ephrata; and their grandchildren Kyra, Ryder, Kai, Molly, and Keppa; Jeff's brothers, Ronald (Robin) Smith, Lonnie Smith; Patty's mother, Carolyn Stephens and brother. Tom Stephens.

A memorial service will be held on August 10, 2013 at 3 p.m. at the Bethlehem Chapel Assembly of God, located at 612 3rd Ave. S.E. in Ephrata.
